What is Surrogacy
Gestational surrogacy is the procedure whereby a woman – the gestational surrogate – consents for an embryo transfer process, otherwise called an IVF Procedure. During this process, an embryo (or plural embryos) deriving from the couple obtaining the surrogacy service is implanted in the surrogate. If and when the procedure is successful, the surrogate becomes impregnated with the child of the couple (the planned parents). The level of involvement with the surrogate thereafter is absolutely up to the intended parents – typically, the couple is associated with the initial IVF treatments, and being present at the point of birth of their child. They then take responsibility for the child post-delivery and make the permanent change to legal parenthood.
The process starts by choosing a surrogate mother for your embryo and IVF procedure
Afterward we sit down along with you and modify costs across a number of realms including, but not limited to medical, alimentary, accommodations, legal fees, travel etc.
Reliable, safe and innovative medical recommendations for the IVF procedure.
Reliable, safe and complete care during medical meetings supervising the pregnancy.
Legal aid with respect to the nationality of your son or daughter, as well as formal adoption procedures and assuming legal responsibility of the child after the surrogate has given birth
What is IVF
IVF is something women choose to undergo when they are having problems with infertility. The traditional IVF involves removing the human oocytes from the ovaries and the fertilization process, accomplished by “letting" motile spermatozoa to fertilize the oocytes into a special culture medium. This means that once embryos are produced, they are transferred into the uterine cavity through a process called Embryo Transfer. IVF is used to mimic the biological functions, in vivo.
IVF is utilized for women who"ve blocked or harmed fallopian tubes, thus preventing the egg and sperm from meeting naturally. IVF may also help you and your spouse if your infertility is unexplained and/or the male spouse has a minimal sperm count. Other factors like mature age endometriosis, immunology, weight problems and psychology may lead a couple to infertility. IVF can be the treatment for you if these factors enter into play during this stressful time in your lives.
Step 1: Follicular Development and Monitoring
During a woman"s normal menstrual period, LH and FSH are the hormones that your body uses to encourage development and maturation of a single oocyte. To be able to optimize your pregnancy rates during IVF, it"s important to have more thatn one tmature oocyte available for fertilization, embryo development and transfer into the uterus. The ovaries are therefore activated using higher amounts of the stimulating hormone that naturally exist in your body. This is achieved using Gonadotrophin injections. Many different stimulation regimes are present at the moment, and the doctor chooses the one best suited to your biological system, in order to achieve a great number of high quality oocytes. Close monitoring of the follicles (the sacs that contain the growing oocytes in the ovaries) is required and it is achieved with consistent ultra-sound in order to determine their size and their amounts. At the appropriate timing, more hormones will be administered, aiding with the ultimate maturation of the oocytes. Based on all the available opinions and laboratory findings, the best time for the restoration will be decided.
Step 2: Oocyte Recovery
This is the actual procedure by which the doctor collects the oocytes of the womain’s body, a procedure requiring anesthesia. A small needle enters the top part of the vagina, through the direction of the ultrasound, into the ovary"s follicles. The fluid that is aspirated will then be studied in the lab, where the oocytes will be determined and transferred into culture media inside an incubator at 37oC to continue the maturation process for several more hours.
Step 3: Fertilization of OOCYTS
In this step, your partner must give his sample of sperm on the day of the oocyte restoration which will be maintained until needed). His sperm will be carefully prepared with a special process and the healthy spermatozoa separately. There are roughly 100,000 motile spermatozoa added per oocyte, with 4-6 hours after oocyte restoration. This is in order for the fertilization to take place within the next 12-18 hours in the incubator. The insemination process will lead to the fertilization of the oocytes, and ensuing embryos are transferred to different culture media to be observed closely over the next 48 hours.
Step 4: Embryo Transfer
The best embryos are chosen and are transferred through the womb using a small catheter on the basis of their rate of growth and morphology. The number of embryos which will be transferred is decided in line with the age and health background of the potential mother; alongside the quantity and quality of the embryos which have now been released during each therapy cycle. For each couple, there is a possibility of experiencing several child. Embryo transfer is a painless process, much like having a cervical smear, and thankfully takes just a few minutes. After the job has been completed, we highly recommend a short resting period in the recovery room. One day after, oocyte retrieval progesterone and other supplements will be recommended to ensure that the lining of the uterus receives sufficient stimulation and sustains the implantation of the embryos. Quantitative pregnancy tests with blood also needs to be svheduled 12-14 days after embryo transfer.
